It's quite surprising that despite the numerous hadeeth and mention in the Quran of treatment and rights of the parents that some take this lightly. Sitting with your parents staring into your phone and ignoring them or walking around shopping centres staring into your phone whilst your mother pushes a heavy trolley around, is this really fulfilling their rights? The Prophet placed treatment of the parents as the best deed alongside prayer at its correct time, The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said "The best of' the deeds or deed is observance of prayer at its proper time and kindness to the parents" - Saheeh Muslim
