If you ever feel down or depressed don’t lose hope and look forward to what is coming. Be sure that you are not seeing the full picture. You are only seeing half of it!!, How? Exactly as Prophet Musa (Moses) PBUH(In surat Al Kahf) when he joined Al Khidr PBUH to learn from him. He saw everything Al Khidr was doing was negative but after he got the explanation, he realized that there is always a second part of the picture which we do not see immediately but we find out with time and we say thanks to Allah that it did not happen or I did not marry that person or …or .. etc. Sit and recall and you will understand what I mean by half of the picture. Give it time and trust Allah and wait to see the second part of the picture. In the end after any difficulty comes ease. Be sure, anything that happens to you even if it looks bad at the beginning, there is always good behind it because Allah never gives you bad and He will never harm you. The prophet Mohammad PBUH told us that Allah's love and mercy to us is more than the love and mercy of the kindest mother towards her child. If you are a loving mother to your children, can you imagine harming them? ….I am sure the answer is never….so how can you expect that from Allah the one who created you and shaped you and gave you each and every blessing you have!!!? Always remember our prophet peace be upon him when he told us: "How strange is the matter of a believer, there is good in all his affairs, and this is only for the believer. If something good happens to him and he is grateful, then this is good for him, and if a calamity befalls him and he is patient, then this is also good for him.” (Muslim, 27) Trust Allah and believe he knows best. We go to the doctor when we feel ill and when he gives us medicine no matter how much the side effects are we still take them because we trust that the doctor knows his job….what about the creator of you and all that is around you….why we find it hard to trust!? Whenever you feel down and your nafsa or the shaitan is scaring you causing you to be depressed remind yourself that Allah is with you and if the King of heaves and earths is with me nothing bad will happen to me. Allah SWT tells us in the hadith Al Qudsi: ('I am as My servant thinks I am (1). I am with him when he makes mention of Me. If he makes mention of Me to himself, I make mention of him to Myself; and if he makes mention of Me in an assembly, I make mention of him in an assembly better than it. And if he draws near to Me an arm's length, I draw near to him a fathom's length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed.") What more than this you need to have complete trust in Allah SWT!!? Be a strong believer not a weak believer. The Prophet peace be upon him said: "A strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than a weak believer, while there is good in both. Guard over that which benefits you, seek Allah's Assistance, and don't lend yourself to things devoid of benefit, and if something befalls you, then don't say 'If I only would have done such and such,' rather say 'Allah ordained this and He does what He wills' for verily the phrase 'If I would have' makes way for the work of the Devil." (Muslim, 2664) Smile because Allah loves you, after all you have the best blessing a human being could ever have…Islam Love you all for the sake of Allah.
