My Story - Super Dad MY STORY --SUPER DAD Assalamu-alaykum, Brothers and Sisters! Man! I'm knackered. I got up early and came downstairs. My dad was in the living room doing press-ups like Rocky. He was sweating so much that there was a puddle on the ground. I said, "Dad, I didn't know you could do that!" My dad said, "Its easy, why don't you try? It's not as hard as you think!" I thought, " I might as well do a few hundred as well!" When I started, I got to two and my arms began to wobble and I had to stop. My dad said, "You are so unfit! Don't you know it's a sunnah of our Prophet (pbuh) to look after your body!" Now I get up early with my dad to do exercise. Guess what? Now I can easily do ten press-ups! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lesson - Our Bodies We are so busy that we have no time to do anything. We have to do our homework and go to mosque. The rest of our time is spent resting and playing computer games. We should manage our time so that along with our regular activities we have some time to exercise our bodies. Our bodies are a trust from Allah which means that we must look after them. Our body has two aspects; the spiritual and the physical. The spiritual side is looked after by performing Salah, reading Qur'an and doing zikr. The physical side of our body is looked after by sleeping and waking up on time; by eating correctly and by exercising. On the Day of Judgement Allah will ask us about our bodies so make sure we always look after them. We are so busy that we have no time to do anything. We have to do our homework and go to mosque.
